From Sweet Tooth Magento Reward Points Wiki

This installation guide assumes that you meet all System Requirements. To avoid loss of sales due to incompatibilities with unique store installations, we highly recommend you install Sweet Tooth on a Staging or Development environment first.

If you are an existing user already running Sweet Tooth, be sure to follow the additional steps outlined in the Update Guide after you complete the instructions below.

For this guide you will require:

1. An FTP connection to your store's home directory
2. Have your license key handy as it was sent to you through the e-mail you registered with.
3. The latest file pack of Sweet Tooth.
   • You can get a copy of these files through the Licenses and Downloads page on the Sweet Tooth website.
   • You can also obtain this from a Sweet Tooth representative by contacting us.

FTP Installation Instructions

Before you begin, please uninstall MageParts CEM through Magento Connect if it is already installed.
To install Sweet Tooth:

1. Unzip or untar the Sweet Tooth rewards files into a local directory.
2. Move all files into their respective directories in your Magento installation directory on the FTP server as they appear after unzipping/untaring the package.
   • If you're doing an update of Sweet Tooth, you may replace the existing files during this process.
3. Clear your store cache and log out of all your admin accounts, then log back in. This refreshes Magento ACL date (administrative permissions)
4. In your back-end Magento store Go to Customer Rewards -> Configuration through the menu. If the Registration section is there, go to the Registration section and enter in your license key and hit "save".
5. Follow the Integration Guide to incorporate certain template sections from Sweet Tooth into your own theme or templates.
6. Refer to the Customization Guide for instructions on how to customize the appearance of your Sweet Tooth installation. Remember, all design and skin files are transferred to the default package and the default theme. If you're using your own package (ie design/frontend/your_package/your_theme) then you will have to follow Design Package Instructions.

Additional Steps

Enterprise and Professional Edition Users

• You should disable the default Magento Enterprise/Professional rewards module.

Translations

• If you require a translation of Sweet Tooth into your language review the Translations Guide.

Configuration

• Now you are all ready to setup how points work in your store. To get things up and running follow the Configuration Guide .

• You can also install these extensions to Sweet Tooth separately. Unless otherwise specified, they are free to all Sweet Tooth license holders:

• You will be responsible for requesting, obtaining and installing required or optional updates.
• We cannot support the installation of the module unless you've purchased the installation service package.
